Well, social media is what we call an attention based platform, meaning that people’s attention is spent on their newsfeed.
Social Media Marketing for Chiropractors
The nice part about social media is that you’re able to create your own news feed with who you’re interested in and follow the information that you want to consume on a daily basis. And most people spend the vast majority of their time inside of their own newsfeed. They very rarely go into individual’s channels. They will consume that content.
Sometimes they’ll click through, like if like on Twitter, if somebody that I follow posts an article, well, I’m going to click on the article and I’ll go through to the website and I’ll read the article but then I’m going to come back to the newsfeed. I very rarely am going to go into that person’s Twitter feed and scroll through and consume content that way.
So the real opportunity for us with content marketing on social media is that we can put that content into those feeds.

Now there’s two ways of doing that. You can either organically do it or you can do it through paid advertising. Organically, they have to have decided to follow you. Now, you know, when social media really started to get going, you know, seven, eight, nine years ago, that is when everybody was following just like anything.
But as people have gotten, you know, I guess savvier in terms of curating their newsfeed, they’re much more particular about who they follow. The problem with chiropractic is it’s not exactly, you know, the sexiest topic that people are like dying to find out more information about.
They are, it’s more transactional to where when they have a problem, that’s when they are seeking a solution.
Now, if you are, you know, building your brand as like a natural health care doctor and you’re doing it on a national scale and you’re, you know, news hacking and you’re talking about things that, you know, the vast majority of people care about, that’s a little bit different than if you’re trying to like build your local brick and mortar business and your local brand.

Those are going to be a little bit more transactional in terms of the content you create. So that’s where you’re going to lean more on paid advertising to make sure that your content is getting out into the community.
The nice part about the Facebooks, the Instagrams, TikToks, LinkedIn, and Twitter is that you can push the content out into the news feeds of the people that live within a certain mile radius around your practice.
Step one is you have to create the content. But step two is how do we distribute that content and get it out in front of other people?
