So I talk a lot about content marketing, I talk a lot about your story. It’s the reason why I’m here in the Field of Dreams movie set. It’s because there is nostalgia there. I love the story. I love baseball.

Well, when you are building the story of your practice, and you’re creating content around your expertise and what you do. What that starts to do, bit by bit and brick by brick is it starts to build the brand in your practice. And to me, that’s what heaven looks like when it comes to a dream practice. Is that you have a self-sustaining machine, that people are seeking you out for your expertise.
But the only way that you can do that outside of one on one, building your practice through word of mouth, (which is a great way of doing things as well) is to get your expertise out on the internet. Out on social media. Out on your website so that people can find you.

So there are three ways that I think that content can really help you build that dream practice. Now, is it going to happen overnight? Is going to happen in six months? Probably not. But if you stay consistent with creating content over three years, five years, ten years, twenty years… Think about the differences that’s gonna make in your community and who you’re trying to serve.
So there are three ways. Number one is it allows you to attract people that you are looking for. And the people that find you are going to be more likely to show up. They’re going to be more likely to listen to your recommendation, because they’re going to see you as an expert.
The second way is that they are going to I’m sorry, your existing patients are going to be able to share your expertise with people that they’ve been talking to. So when they are you know, right now what they’re having to do is they’re having to take their limited knowledge of what you do in your practice, go out and share that with their coworker, or their husband, or friend, and they don’t always know exactly the right way to say things.
But when you’re creating content, it gives them a really easy way to be able to share that expertise with the people in their life.

The third way is going to be, and this is probably one of the most underappreciated things that content can do for you to help them that practice, is either keeping people on track that normally might have drifted off, or reactivating people that maybe haven’t been in a while. But just being in front of them on a consistent basis. Whether that’s on social media. Whether that’s with email marketing. But being able to stay in front of them, allows them to remember that A) you’re out there and B) you’re there to help them. And hopefully help them with maybe a new problem that might have come up that they didn’t even know that you are capable of.
